Seed cycling 101: a gentle start

Two phases, four seeds, one scoop a day. Everything you need to begin — including what to do if your period never keeps a calendar.

Seed cycling is a simple, natural way of eating specific seeds at specific phases of your cycle, so your hormones stay balanced. No medicines. No chemicals. Just food that works with your body.

The idea is beautifully uncomplicated. Your cycle has two halves, and each half asks for different nourishment. Seed cycling matches a small daily serving of seeds to each half — that's the whole practice.

Phase 1 — Day 1 to 14

From the first day of your period through ovulation, your body is in its follicular phase. Phase 1 brings together activated flax seeds, activated pumpkin seeds and hemp seeds — one scoop (14g), every day.

Phase 2 — Day 15 to 28

On day 15, you switch. The luteal phase calls for activated sunflower seeds, activated sesame seeds and hemp seeds. Same ritual: one scoop a day, blended into a smoothie, stirred into yoghurt, sprinkled over a salad, or straight from the spoon.

No regular period? Follow the moon.

If your cycle is irregular, absent, or you're in perimenopause, the moon keeps time for you: begin Phase 1 on the New Moon and move to Phase 2 on the Full Moon. Women have kept rhythm this way for centuries.

How long until you feel it?

Every body is unique. Some women notice a shift within a month; we suggest staying consistent for three to four months to experience the full benefit. Miss a day? Just pick up where you left off — consistency matters more than perfection.
